Dear Sir/Madam

SRI RAMANA FREE CLINIC TRUST(R)  , an NGO in Bangalore,  has recently signed an MOU with M.S.Ramiah Dental College/Hospital(MSRDCH) & the Dept of school education Govt of Karnataka for DANTA SURAKSHA program in villages.

DANTA SURAKSHA is a continuous school health project. Oral health & Dental hygiene awareness campaign & Dental treatment in the interior village schools of Devanahalli Taluk form the prime objective of the program. It consists of the following:

  1. Training of a group of teachers in oral/Dental hygiene . They in turn take it up with all the interior schools.
  2. Organise regular Dental camps with Dental doctors/staff area by area in phases . It comprises of screening and treatment like  dental polishing/filling/scaling/extraction etc and medicines.
  3. Refer cases( also emergencies) back to MSRDCH whenever needed.

As of now, the beneficiaries are the poor school children of Devanahalli Taluk schools. About 2066 cases have been  identified after screening so far & the cost of treatment for them would be about 4 lakhs rupees. Bangalore rural district comprises of 4 taluks .The concept would spread to other districts of Karnataka and the Govt proposes to involve other Dental institutions also in the process, a whole program called SUVARNA AROGYA CHAITANYA.

The major expenses include the transport of the Dental team & the basic facilities for all the staff involved and purchase of Dental medicines etc.

We need your kind support to the cause. Contributions may be made to SRI RAMANA FREE CLINIC TRUST (SRFCT) & the donations are exempt under 80G I.T act.

We remain thankful for your participation.
