Latest aims, objectives, and activities of Sri Ramana free clinic trust

The aims, objectives, and activities of the Trust are as follows;

  1. To provide health care to the poor free of cost at the community clinic close to their residence. Managed at Mohan Kumar Nagar from 1999 to 2007 in association with MSRMC and Rotary North West.
  2. To adopt Govt. Schools in and around Bangalore, visit them periodically with doctors; assess them for nutritional aspects, chronic diseases, oral hygiene to provide them treatment free of cost.
  3. To provide continuing health education to the adolescents by publishing book “Niranthara” & distribute copies free of cost.
  4. To function as facilitator in respect of comprehensive eye care to the school children. Trust identified about 250 schools each year for 2 years, coordinated with SANKARA EYE HOSPITAL to screen about 30000 children each year with the help of teachers treated needy children under their flagship programme “Nanna Kannu”.
  5. The Trust on its own visit different schools for eye care, screen Children with help from refractionists to provide spectacles where necessary.
  6. Functioning as facilitators to Endocrinology & Diabetes Research Trust for the last 4 years. Identity rural school children, distribute educational material worth about Rs.15 lakhs annually.
  7. Trust has adopted three Govt. Schools and also a residential school for Deaf and Dumb to treat children once weekly.
  8. We have extended the area of operations to the village schools of Bangalore Rural district and Chikkaballapur district for dental screening & treatment since the year 2013, also Ramanagara Taluk during 2015-16.
  9. Produced Edn. Short film “DANTHA SURAKSHA” for school children to create awareness with regard to Oral hygiene for screening at the rural schools periodically.
  10. Initiated awareness programme on the importance of Breast feeding among college girl students in Bangalore in association MSRMC community medicine dept. & Director of Collegeate Education.
  11. A short film on various aspects of health & environment for school children in association with KLE Dental College & Sarva Shikshana Abhyana “Arivu, Jeevanadalli Tiruvu” has been produced.
  12. 17,000 Government School Children from Taluks of Magadi, Nelamangala, Doddaballapura, Devanahalli and Hosakote have been screened and treated for dental ailments’ during the academic year 2015-16 free of cost.
  13. Running a Rural Clinic in Gunjur village once weekly with the help of Senior doctors.
