  1. “Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India” – Karnataka State Branch is an N.G.O. and Coordinating Centre for South Asia region for IBPFN & WABA. Its main focus is on promotion of optimal infant and young child feeding practices in the community and to protect these practices from commercial food companies disseminating unscientific information to the public, especially mother, infant and adolescent strata. This organization takes up health education programs among various sections of the society in Bangalore city to equip them with the knowledge of scientific practices. Director of collegiate education Govt. of Karnataka has accorded permission to conduct this programs in the colleges for the student community. The Trust so far has organized this programs in the first grade colleges of Bangalore for young adults. It has so far covered
    1. Govt. Maharani College for Women.
    2. R. C. College of Commerce.
    3. Govt’s Arts College.
    4. Home Science College.
    5. H.K.E.S. Degree College.
    6. Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women.
    7. M.E.S. College.
    8. M.S. Ramaiah Law College.
    9. M.S. Ramaiah Dental College.The sensitization/awareness programs are conducted by the resource persons Dr. Dayananda M. & Dr. Mallikarjuna, Associate Professors assisted by Dr. Lalitha – Faculty & Post Graduate students of M.S. Ramaiah Medical College.
  2. NIRANTHARA.  In order to equip the adolescents with the scientific knowledge on human growth & health, awareness programs are being conducted in various institutions. This program encompasses wide aspects of physical and mental health. A reference book ‘NIRANTHARA’ has been published by the Trust. The topics covered are penned by the professionals in the field. This book is useful to prepare the younger generation with the scientific knowledge.
  3. Constructed & donated 3 toilets (for the use of Girl students) at Govt. High School, Yeshwanthpur as a part of Health Care Programs, during the year 2001.
  4. Conducted Anemia Eradication Programs for Girl Children of 12 to 18 years age group studying in Govt. Schools (5 Schools in Bangalore City & 20 Schools in Magadi Taluk). This involves Blood Analysis and Medication. This was conducted in collaboration with Bangalore Society of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Endocrinology & Diabetes Research Trust. Total number of Girls who underwent this procedure 4000 (Approx.) during the Academic Year 2007-2008. This was in addition to the comprehensive healthcare in the area of General health, Nutrition and Dental health.
  5. The Trust is assisting the Endocrinology & Diabetes Trust and Bangalore Diabetes Hospital in the management of identified insulin dependent poor juvenile patients ; also distribution of Education material to the students of Govt. Schools.
  6. Danta Suraksha – Comprehensive dental treatment program for 4th, 5th & 6th Standard Students of Govt. Schools at a) Lalahalli b) IISC campus c) Sante Beedi-Yeshwanthpur
  7. Providing medicines periodically to Primary Health Centre Sringeri ; Chikkamagalur District.
  8. The Trust during the Academic Year 2012-13 has provided 150 Long Note Books & 100 Pencils to the 10th Standard Students (Numbering 75) of Govt. High School Jalahalli, Bangalore.
